This is a spell everyone should know. It always works!
To protect a house during a thunderstorm
Light one white and one yellow candle
Walk through the house, room by room, chanting the words below until you have visited every room and every door (including closet, cupboard and entrance) in your home:
"Mistress of the gentle rain,
Master of the storm,
Guard against the ill and bane,
Shield me from harm.
And while fire flies through the air
And raindrops fiercely blast,
Keep my loved ones in your care
'Til the storm has passed.
Wind, wind, guard my kin.
Flame, flame, do not maim.
Rain, rain, quickly wane.
Earth, earth, guard my worth."
The house is then sealed and safe-guarded until the storm is clear of the area.
